Lucy Lawless comes from New Zealand. She's an actor and a musician. Her most famous performances are Xena Warrior Princess and Spartacus Blood and Sand. Her most well-known role is her portrayal of Xena, which she did throughout her career acting. The role was originally meant for the actress Vanessa Angel but ultimately went to Lucy after she was unable to attend the shooting due to illness. The way Xena was depicted and the respect it received to, it later was one of the most favorites in the world of television at the time it was on air along with other series. It was such a hit in that Lucy's portrayal of Xena prompted a spinoff series to air in September, 1995. Lucy has gained a reputation as a popular actor due to the popularity of the spinoff. Not only is she well-known to the public as Xena but also for her recurring role in the role of Diane Lewis Swanson on NBCs famous show Parks and Recreation which she played from 2012 until the year 2015.
